Bobby seagull, a contestant on British TV's University Challenge, has captured the imagination of the UK public because of his dapper appearance and his apparent rags to riches tale. Originally from East Ham, Seagull managed to get to Eton then Cambridge University before the fickle hand of fate dealt him a painful blow in the shape of an internship working in the CDO department of Lehman Brothers in the run-up to the 2008 financial crisis.
