Electronic bond-trading platform trumid is buying electronifie, a smaller competitor in the crowded financial technology sector. Trumid, which is backed by George Soros and Peter Thiel, relaunched its bond trading platform last year after struggling to gain traction with its initial launch in 2015. The acquisition of Electronifie, expected to close in the second quarter, will expand Trumid's user network by 20%, the company said.
