kazmunaigas has hired banks for a US dollar mandate, according to people familiar with the matter. The state-owned oil and gas company, which is rated Baa3/BB/BBB-, sent out a request for proposals last month. KMG completed a jumbo tender when it accepted US$3.68bn of nominal principal notes in December 2015, and printed a dual-tranche offering of 10 and 30-year bonds in 2014 when it raised a combined US$1.5bn.
