Turner leaves Citadel Securities after short stint

Just five months after stepping into the role of CEO at CITADEL SECURITIES, Kevin Turner has left the market-making business of Kenneth Griffin's Chicago-based hedge fund group. Turner left by mutual agreement and on amicable terms with Griffin and senior managers at the securities business, according to people familiar with the matter. Ultimately, however, the gamble to bring an outsider with no trading or finance background into the newly created CEO role did not pay off.
