China's forex reserves near US$3trn

China's foreign exchange reserves are hovering just above the USS3trn mark after falling again last month. The State Administration of Foreign Exchange said reserves fell US$41.08bn to US$3.01 ten in December owing to broad-based dollar strength and efforts by the central bank to prop up the renminbi by selling foreign currency holdings.
