HSBC names Hussain for Belt and Road

HSBC has appointed Mukhtar Hussain to the newly created role of head of the Belt and Road Initiative for Asia-Pacific, effective July 1. Hussain, who will relocate to Hong Kong to take up the job, reports to Peter Wong, deputy chairman and chief executive of HSBC's Hong Kong-headquartered subsidiary. He will focus on coordinating HSBC's efforts across different groups in relation to the BRI.
