Big banks may be ready to make a splash in M&A after a long hiatus, which could see the likes of jp morgan and goldman sachs getting acquisitive from next year. That would certainly be a shift. Financial institutions, banks and brokerages in particular have largely sat out the booming M&A cycle of the last several years.
