MACEDONIA is returning to the bond markets for the first time in nearly 18 months with a new issue and tender offer. The sovereign has hired Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Erste Group to organize a series of fixed income investor meetings in Europe, beginning January 8. Discussions will centre around a euro-denominated seven-year fixed rate benchmark bond. Macedonia is also proposing to purchase up to €100m of its €270m 4.875% notes due 2020.
