UK's innovative green financing framework gets thumbs-up

HM TREASURY and the UK DEBT MANAGEMENT OFFICE have published the UK government's green financing framework ahead of the issuance of £15bn of green Gilts and a green retail product that is a first for a sovereign green bond. The UK is breaking new ground with the National Savings & Investments' green savings bond as it bids to reinforce its environmental credentials in the run-up to the UN's COP26 climate meeting in Glasgow in November.
