BANK OF AMERICA and CITICROUP are putting aside their rivalry to build a product designed to improve the process of buying and selling collateralised loan obligations and leveraged loans. The pair are building a still unnamed multi-dealer platform that is eyeing a launch within the next year to offer electronic trading and analytics in an effort to increase liquidity in the asset classes. The two banks are hoping to recruit a consortium of banks to back the platform.
