Volume across the US syndicated loan market nose-dived to a more than 10-year low of US$213.77bn in the third quarter from US$369.92bn in the quarter prior, or 42%, as new loan issuance stalled amid market volatility due to the coronavirus, a white-hot bond market, and budding fears of a prolonged electoral process.
