AnqloGold breaks past rival

ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI secured the backing of US investors for its US$700m 10-year note on Monday, pricing the bond inside its most commonly cited peer. The world's third-largest gold miner (Baa3/ BB+/BBB-), which was turning to the bond market to help it refinance debt taken on to bolster its liquidity earlier this year, landed its new note well inside Gold Fields (Baa3/BB+).
