Egypt intends to issue two foreign-currency bonds in the first quarter of 2019 as part of a programme that could see the sovereign raise around US$20bn in international markets by 2022. The ramp-up in activity marks a concerted effort to alter the composition of the country's debt and increase the average maturity of its obligations.
