HYPOX Filter: An Innovative Solution in PET Filtration

Continuous polycondensation plants for the production of PET usually foresee the filtration of the pre-polymer and of the finished polymer. The elements commonly in use for these filtrations are pleated candles or disks with a fineness of the metal fiber media included in a range between 20 and 40 micron. The proper filtration surfaces are usually of 1 sq. m for 450-550 kg/h of pre-polymer and of 1 sq. m for 300-350 kg/h of polymer. The continuous growth of capacity in the polycondensation lines has prompted the development of bigger and bigger filters, with filter surfaces up to 70-80 sq. m for each single housing.
