Soaring Cotton Prices Will Benefit Polyester Fiber Consumption

The 12th annual Polyester & PET Chain World Congress held in December 2007 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, was attended by more than 350 experts from the global polyester business. Organized by Maack Business Services (MBS) of Au/Zuerich, Switzerland, the event saw the number of delegates from Asia/Middle East and Africa increase to 29% of the total attendance, a steady 59% from Europe/CIS, while the business moving away from the Americas was reflected in a significant fall to 12% of the total.
