Polyester filaments and fibers continue to find new applications with developments in raw material, equipment and process technology. Polyester filaments for industrial applications, although not new, have made great strides in the past decade in terms of quality, performance and price. Industrial applications such as filter screens for manufacturing paper, conveyor belt fabrics and automotive applications such as air bags, seat belts and tire cords require high performance polyester filaments.
