SPE Technology Simultaneously Extracts Deadly Combination of Melamine and Cyanuric Acid

Phenomenex (USA) introduces Strata Melamine, a solid phase extraction (SPE) sorbent specially designed for food testing. Strata Melamine SPE cartridges simultaneously extracts both melamine and cyanuric acid, cutting sample time in half compared to all other methods. It is the combination of these two compounds that forms the deadly melamine cyanurate, which has been found in pet food, infant formula and dairy products. The Strata Melamine optimised method produces injection-ready samples for LC/MS or GC/MS analysis.
