Ultrasonic Level Transmitter Offers Level Measurement Up to 10-Metres Across Complex Tank Shapes

Burkert's (UK) Ultrasonic Level Transmitter Type 81 75 provides continuous level measurement at distances up to 10-metres. Integrating an ultrasonic sensor and a transducer with a large 8-digit multi-language display in a splash-proof IP65 or immersion-proof IP67 housing, the Type 81 75 offers users a teach-in function for easy commissioning, and also delivers low total cost of ownership. Designed for use in water treatment, the 81 75 is a non-contact filling level transmitter that can be used in both open and closed vessels. Simple to use, with its menu-guided operation and 8- digit alphanumeric display, the Type 8175 delivers fast and easy commissioning with its integrated "Teach-In" and "Simulation" functions. These allow different tank shapes (cylindrical, cubic, spherical) to be easily programmed via fixed default shapes, or at complex tank shapes step- by- step. Importantly, the simulation functions allow the system to be tested under dry-run conditions, and the resulting measured value can be shown as a level, a distance (in cm, m, inch or feet), or direct, as a volume (litre, m~3, Imp. gal or US gal).
