Response to 'Equity and cost-effectiveness of multilateral adaptation finance: are they friends or foes?' In International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics-Stadelmann et al. (2013)

The International Environmental Agreements: Politics, law and economics published in its recent issue an article by Stadelmann et al. analysing potential equity and cost-effectiveness criteria for allocating international funding for adaptation to climate change and applying these criteria to decisions made by the Adaptation Fund Board (the Board) on project and programme proposals. This commentary is intended to provide some clarification on the decision-making process of the Board as well as correct a number of inaccuracies reported in the article relating to the allocation of the Fund's resources.
