China's National Development and Reform Commission, the country's top planning body, will soon release technical requirements for certifying low-carbon products as well as a standard for measuring emissions reductions credited to such products, according to a report in newspaper operated by the state-run Xinhua news agency.The standards have been jointly developed by the commission and the National Certification and Accreditation Administration, according to an Oct. 29 report in the newspaper, Economic Information Daily. They will be launched as part of a voluntary low-carbon product certification system to be piloted throughout the country, the report stated.
