Nordic Nations to Fund Climate Change Initiatives in Bolivia, Honduras, Nicaragua

Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden have agreed to contribute €2.1 million ($2.8 million) to finance climate change initiatives in Latin American cities, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said during its annual meet ing.The financial assistance from the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) will be earmarked for midsized cities in Bolivia, Honduras, and Nicaragua, three of the poorest nations in the area, IDB said at its annual meeting, held March 16-19 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
