IPCC Report Sald Likely to Spur More Action From Businesses, Investors on Climate

A summary report released Sept. 27 by a United Nations panel on climate change should encourage businesses and investors to step up their efforts to promote a low-carbon economy, industry analysts said. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's fifth assessment, which will provide the most comprehensive account to date of the science behind climate change, also gives companies an even clearer picture of the associated business risks, representatives from the financial,insurance and investment sectors said.
