ECHA May Revise Administrative Charges After Ruling on EU Company Size Statements

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Oct. 29 said it would take a recent European Union General Court decision into account in a review of the administrative charges it levies on companies that misstate their size to obtain reduced fees under the REACH chemicals law. Under REACH (Regulation No. 1907/2006 on the registration, evaluation, and authorization of chemicals), companies pay reduced fees to file substance registrations with ECHA if they are "micro," "small" or "medium."
