摘要

Adapting to climate change now would be much cheaper for governments than mitigating issues in the future and would offer long-term benefits for nations and industry, speakers at the Globe 2014 environment and business conference in Vancouver said March 26. "Delay is not an option," said Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in a video message to the conference. "We are very aware that business and the environment are intrinsically linked. We are waking up to the fact that climate issues are also economic issues."
