摘要

Israel's largest photovoltaic power field, Ketura Solar in the southern Arava Valley, has been connected to the national grid, regional officials announced. The 40 megawatt field-which took more than six years to license, finance and build-is jointly owned by Arava Power and EDF Energies Nouvelles Israel, a subsidiary of the French national electric corporation. It is the second "large" field to go online in Israel, containing 140,343 solar panels spread over 134 acres of desert land, officials said July 29. The first was the 37.5-megawatt Neot Hovav field, launched by the En-ergix Group in December 2014.
