India Issues Guidelines for Solar Parks, Funding for Rooftop Solar Projects

India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has announced guidelines for development of 25 solar parks around the country. The guidelines will direct the rollout of a plan announced late last year to establish the solar parks, each with a capacity of at least 500 megawatts. The plan forecasts 20,000 megawatts of power from the solar stations within five years. Twenty solar parks are already planned in 15 states.
