Tokyo Continues Its Push to Become the World's Top Hydrogen Fuel Cell City

Tokyo wants to have as many as 100,000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on its roads and 80 hydrogen filling stations in its city by 2025 as it strives to become the world's top hydrogen-powered municipality, Japanese officials told Bloomberg BNA Jan. 27. The city also aims to install home-use fuel cell electricity generation units in as many as 1 million homes by 2030, according to Mariko Fujisaki, an official of the city's Urban Energy Planning Division, and an official of the city's Environmental Policy Division.
