U.K. Green Investment Bank Funds Scottish Waste-to-Energy Plant

FCC Environment U.K. Ltd., a recycling and waste management company, got funding to develop a 142 million pound ($180 million) waste-to-energy plant near Edinburgh, Scotland. The project is expected to have a capacity of 14 megawatts and process 155,000 tons of nonrecyclable waste annually, according to an Oct. 6 e-mailed statement from the U.K. Green Investment Bank Pic. The public financial institution is investing 28 million pounds with Investec Pic, Siemens Bank GmbH and Credit Agricole SA also lending funds.
