摘要

The positive relationship between U.S. President Ba-rack Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau could help the two countries lead global efforts to address climate change issues, including steps to cut methane emissions and the use of hydrofluoro-carbons, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy said April 7. At a meeting at the University of Ottawa with Canadian Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna, McCarthy said the "new energy" Trudeau brought to the bilateral relationship after his election last year and the personal relationship between the leaders has made a traditionally "warm" bilateral relationship stronger than ever.
