China Submits Guidance on New Chemical Substances Registration to WTO

China's Ministry of Environmental Protection has submitted to the World Trade Organization a draft of its guidance document for new chemical substances registration. Only new chemical substances imported at more than 10 kilograms annually would have to register. New chemical substances that are within products would have to be registered only if they pose a potential hazard to humans and the environment.
