Jordan is counting on a rapid drop in the price of power storage to unleash a boom in wind and solar electricity, according to a top official. The Middle East country is trying to ween itself from oil- and gas-fired power and it's track record in installing wind and solar power over recent years is encouraging, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Saleh Al Kharabsheh said. As Jordan maps out more ambitious clean energy plans beyond 2020, the key to unlocking growth may be storage, he said.
