Indian Carbon Conversion Startup Teams With French Company

Clean Carbon Solutions Ltd., an Indian startup with technology that converts captured greenhouse-gas emissions products, said it entered into a partnership with French water and waste company Veolia En-vironnement SA. Mumbai-based Clean Carbon Solutions captures pollution from power plants and industrial facilities and converts it into products than can be sold. Its first commercial-scale project kicked off in January at a coal plant in Tamil Nadu in India's southern tip. The technology turns all of the 10-megawatt facility's emissions into soda ash, a compound used to make glass.
