Conclusions Market entry strategy requires investors to address quite a conundrum: a relative stability of the contractual terms under the PSA or lower exploration and other operational risks associated with the JV scheme. The article aimed to examine operational aspects of these two legal frameworks from a comparative perspective and lay down the guidelines for investment decisions. The regulatory aspect of such operational aspects was also taken into account. In this context, drawing on international experience where the contextual comparison is valid may prove to be useful.
