An innovative wool dyeing technology developed by New Zealand-based AgResearch, which bridges the gap between high-performance and haute couture, is set to appear the global stage thanks to a worldwide licensing deal. The dyeing process, which enables wool to be dyed in two colours at the same time, and graphics and images to be dyed into the fabric, is being commercialised by BGI Development, which has now granted an exclusive, worldwide licence to US firm Global Merino for the production and marketing of activewear incorporating using the technique.
