Pretreatment of the Fabric - A Key to Successful Textile Digital Printing

Over the last few years, we have seen major changes in the global textile printing market: more individual designs, shorter run lengths and the massive movement of textile printing to Far East markets. The use of digital ink jet printing technology to reduce the overall cost of sample and 'coupon' printing has become well-established in the textile-printing industry. Also, with recent developments in industrial piezo DOD print heads, system-integration technology and textile-ink developments, we have seen digital-textile printing establishing itself in 'new' textile-printing markets -the flag/banner, DTG (Direct to Garment textile printing with pigment inks) and the sportswear-printing industries (using disperse dye-sub inks).
