Bioceramic FIR Yarn

Italy-based tecnofilati has developed an addition to the Resistex range of yarns, which is composed of a polyester fibre tied to a bioceramic crystal. The Resistex Bioceramic yarn is said to provide a natural absorbing function against harmful UV-A and UV-B rays, while reflecting thermal rays to provide a shielding effect against the sun's heat. The company says the bioceramic means the yarn can absorb the body heat to be returned in the form of far infra red (FIR) rays which can penetrate the subcutaneous tissue and stimulate the microcirculatory system, thus strengthening the metabolism.
