AATCC to Discuss Automotive Textiles

The piedmont section of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) will host a one-day seminar on the topic of automotive textiles on February 27 at the BMW Zentrum Center in Greer, South Carolina, USA. The seminar, entitled 'Automotive textiles - driven by technology', will feature technical presentations and a tour of the BMW Zentrum Museum exhibits. Papers will include colour and lighting by Ann Laidlaw of Rolyn Group; lightfastness performance by Bruce Griffin from Huntsman Chemicals; sustainable innovation by Brian T McSharry of Sage Automotive Interiors; abrasion and trimmer control by a spokesperson from DyStar; and a lifecycle assessment of textiles in the automotive industry, presented by Dr Srikanth Pilla from the University of Clemson I-Car Research Center.
