Messe Frankfurt's techtextil brand of technical textiles and nonwovens events made its first foray into the Middle Eastern market, with a pavilion and symposium at the Intersec trade fair in Dubai. Based on the success of the event, organisers said they will return next year. "We have made an interesting and promising first step into this region," said Michael Jaenecke, director of brand management for technical textiles and textile processing at Messe Frankfurt. "The first Techtextil Middle East Symposium and the Techtextil Pavilion at Intersec 2014, both integrated in the 16th edition of Intersec, received a positive resonance by the exhibitors and the participants of the symposium.
