Jakob Mueller Expands in Finishing with Benninger Acquisition

Consolidation in the textile machinery sector continues with the announcement that narrow-fabric specialist Jakob Mueller is to grow, with the acquisition of blue-chip finishing-technology company Benninger AG. The Swiss-centred deal, concluded yesterday, sees JMBT Beteiligunden AG, a subsidiary of Jakob Muller Holding AG, take full control of Benninger AG from Benninger Holding AG. The strategic move allows affiliate company Jakob Mueller AG, in Frick, to expand its position in textile finishing. In 2015 the Benninger workforce totalled around 330 people, 110 of them in Switzerland.
