Siemens Launches Integrated Drive Systems Initiative

Siemens Drive Technologies has kicked off its initiative to highlight the energy efficiency benefits of its comprehensive and custom engineered product and service offerings, including gearboxes, couplings, motors and drives through a single source. Siemens said the program offers end users, EPCs and OEMs the ability to reduce operational costs and improve engineering effectiveness. Siemens plans to focus its integrated drive systems program on vertical markets for oil and gas and mining and cement industries. Additionally, Siemens will support integrated drive systems in other markets, such as metals, power generation, water/wastewater, pulp and paper, and general manufacturing.
