Billed as the last major construction show of the 20th Century, Conexpo-Con/Agg '99 was the biggest show to date. With over 1,800 international exhibitors, an increase of 47% over the last show in 1996, the exhibition generated some mind boggling statistics. According to the organisers, there were 96km 6f aisles running in, out and around an area equivalent to 36 football pitches of exhibition space. While the total attendance was 124,000 compared to 95,000 in 1996.
