PCA sees 2-year decline

The Portland Cement Association (PCA) says the current crisis in credit markets will lead to reduced public spending on construction in the US up to and including 2010. This prolonged slump is reflected in the PCA's latest forecasts for cement consumption. The PCA now expects cement consumption in 2007 to be down -6.9% on 2006 levels. A further year-on-year decline of -2.5% is expected in 2008.
