Balfour Beatty has confirmed its chief financial officer Duncan Magrath is to leave the company next year. His departure comes after a series of profit warnings that forced the resignation of CEO Andrew McNaughton in May, and which have also seen chairman and acting CEO Steve Marshall announce plans to leave. Mr Magrath, who had served in his post for the past six years, will stay until a successor is found. The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a € 200 million (US$ 245 million) loan for the upgrade of the A9 motorway south of Amsterdam. The stretch of key Netherlands road between Holendrecht and the river Gaasp near Diemen is a core route serving Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam and Almere. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a US$ 350 million loan to upgrade district roads in India's Madhya Pradesh state. These funds will cover 70% of the project cost of US$ 500 million, with the state government of Madhya Pradesh providing the balance of US$ 150 million. The project will see the upgrading of some 1,600 km of major district roads through lane widening, surface improvements, and strengthening of culverts and bridges.
