Last month's Bauma China exhibition was a sell-out, with the full 300,000 m~2 of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) filled with exhibits from 3,104 companies. The show was attended by 191,000 visitors, and here are some of the highlights from the event. Yongmao exhibited two new high capacity tower cranes in the shape of a 100 tonne flat top and a 64 tonne capacity luffing jib unit. The range-topping STT 2200 flat top has a maximum 70 metre jib at the end of which the capacity is 27.2 tonnes. GJJ said it will build a new factory to produce mast-climbers, a product that is in its infancy in China in the face of traditional equipment such as scaffolding and hoists. The company is targeting a 5,000 unit per year capacity from its new facility.
