North Africa's economic outlook is generally positive, but limited by regional complexities. Violence continues in Libya, while Egypt and Tunisia continue to work through political transitions and security challenges. Oil exporters will face weaker oil prices in the medium term, although we expect strong performances in construction, manufacturing, transportation, and trade and tourism. Job creation and competitiveness continue to need improvement, as unemployment, especially among youth, remains high, leaving countries vulnerable to unrest.
