摘要

The slump is continuing and is a cause for concern, even if as always ceramic is holding out better than similar situations in other sectors. The report regarding national statistics presented at the end of May at the Confindustria Ceram-ica Assembly shows a situation that evidences a fall in production, and above all employment. The other strongly negative data concerns export quantities, while for value things are going a little better. The increase in average prices, both on the domestic as well as international markets, is supporting the turnover, which increased slightly, while costs are growing more markedly. The monitoring of production internationalisation evidenced 116.44 million square metres produced (+1.41 %) and a turnover of 916.8 million Euros (+4.67%).
