A North East UK port outlined plans for growth, at a special event being held to celebrate the millionth tonne of pulp to pass through its quays. Port of Sunderland, which has enjoyed sustained growth since the launch of an Economic Masterplan designed to reignite its business in 2010, marked its handling milestone with a reception at neighbouring venue, National Glass Centre. The event, attended by new and existing customers, stakeholders and business contacts of the port, saw Port of Sunderland celebrate its ongoing work for pulp business Sodra.
