Back to basics: ensuring the successful adoption of Mobile TV

With over one billion mobile phones in use in the world today, and with as many as two billion predicted by 2012, there is no question that there is the opportunity and potential demand for a service such as mobile TV. A recent study from ABI1 Research has indicated that a growth in mobile TV subscribers from a million this year, to 250 million in three years, shows there is a phenomenal growth rate in the market, and highlights why mobile TV has been heralded as the next 'killer application'. It is a market that will be worth an estimated $8 billion by 2011.
