The media εt entertainment (MεtE) industry is experiencing unprecedented transition of processes as it seeks to fulfil the many demands for content - getting it ingested, processed, and distributed faster and in more formats than ever. It's fundamentally a supply chain issue. When you go into a large retail store, there is an entire supply chain at work to ensure that products you want are on the shelves. Industry leaders, such as Walmart in the US and Marks εt Spencer in the UK, have become masters of supply chain management by integrating the movement their goods - and the knowledge of that movement - right down to the shelf level.
