Distributed audio routing

Audio routers have evolved from cross point routers that were large and expensive to TDM (Time Domain Multiplexing) routers that are smaller and much less expensive. QuStream saw the need and opportunity to make the next step in the evolution and created a Distributed Routing System that used some of the attributes of both TDM and packet routers. Traditional audio routers are centralised in a conventional chassis with all wiring going to and from the router chassis. The new DRS was designed to be distributed throughout a facility in multiple 1 RU chassis.
